Do not ask for fulfillment in all your life, but for patience to accept frustration.
Do not ask for perfection in all you do, but for the wisdom not to repeat mistakes.
Do not ask for more, before saying "Thank You" for what you have already received.

The first part of this quote intrigues me, “Do not ask for fulfillment in all your life, but for patience to accept frustration”. I believe the "trick" isn't accepting frustration, it is letting go of the feeling that you have control over the outcome. The end result of any process, no matter how hard we try, will be what is meant to be.
I learned this at an early age, through my dad's philosophy of coaching football. He has NEVER talked about winning. He talks about "giving it your best" and whatever happens, accept it. Because your best is, well, the best anyone can do. This is such a great philosophy to adopt because it applies to everything in life. There are times in everyone’s life, when you do everything right, you prepare, you plan, you take all the necessary action, and still, the result is not what you had worked for.
Rather than accepting the frustration of disappointment, let go of the feeling that you have control over the outcome. This way, you can enjoy the process much more. The true path to happiness is about the journey, and not the destination.
